Fibre optic sensing suits perimeters where running power and copper to every sensing point is impractical, or where the environment rules out electronics on the fence. The sensing cable is passive, immune to electromagnetic interference, and carries no voltage.

Abhedya L100 uses intensity-based detection: disturbance to the fibre changes the light returning down the cable, and the controller interprets that change as an event. It targets deployments that need fibre sensing without the cost and complexity of a full distributed acoustic sensing platform.

What it does

Passive sensing cable

No electronics, no power and no earthing along the fence line — the cable itself is the sensor.

Immune to interference

Optical sensing is unaffected by electromagnetic interference, lightning-induced surges and ground potential differences.

Suited to difficult environments

Appropriate where flammable atmospheres, high voltage or long unpowered runs make an electrical sensor line impractical.

Integrates with Sanchalan

Common questions

When will Abhedya L100 be available?

It is currently in field trials. We are not quoting a general availability date until trial results are complete. If you have a site that would suit the technology, we are open to discussing trial participation.

How does intensity-based sensing differ from DAS?

Intensity-based sensing detects that a disturbance has occurred on the fibre. Distributed acoustic sensing additionally resolves where along the cable it happened and captures far more signal detail, at significantly higher cost. Abhedya D100 is our DAS-based system.

Can I get the detailed specifications?

Detailed specifications are being finalised through the trial programme. Contact us with your requirement and we will share what is confirmed and tell you plainly what is still provisional.
