Distributed acoustic sensing turns a single fibre into a continuous array of virtual microphones. Rather than reporting that something happened somewhere on the cable, it resolves the position of the disturbance along its length and captures enough signal detail to distinguish between event types.

That makes it suitable for perimeters and linear assets measured in kilometres — pipelines, boundary walls, cable routes — where installing and powering discrete sensors is not viable.

What it does

Position along the cable

Events resolve to a location along the fibre rather than to a whole zone, so response can be directed accurately over long distances.

Long linear coverage

A single interrogator covers a run far longer than a discrete sensor line, from one end.

Signal detail for classification

DAS captures enough of the acoustic signature to distinguish between event types rather than simply detecting disturbance.

Linear assets beyond fences

Applicable to pipelines, buried cable routes and boundary walls, not only fence lines.

Common questions

What stage is Abhedya D100 at?

It is in the design phase. There is no hardware to trial yet and no specifications we would stand behind publicly. We are listing it so customers planning long-perimeter projects know it is coming.

Should I wait for D100 or deploy something now?

If your requirement is live, deploy what exists. Prachir covers fence-mounted detection today. We would rather you solve the problem now than hold a site open for a product still in design.

Can we be involved in the development?

If you have a long-perimeter or linear asset requirement, early conversations genuinely shape what gets built. Get in touch and tell us about the site.
