What the company does

The business has two sides, and they are deliberately distinct. Gandeevan designs, builds and supports its own perimeter security range — MEMS fence sensing, fibre optic detection and the control-room software that runs them. Separately, it delivers embedded engineering as a service to client organisations: hardware design, firmware, FPGA, Embedded Linux, IoT and secure cloud software.

The products are what Gandeevan sells. The services are what Gandeevan builds for other people. Both are done by the same engineers, which is why the products are designed by a team that has shipped other companies' hardware into the field, and why the service work is done by a team that carries its own product through manufacture and support.

The perimeter security range

• Prachir — a perimeter intrusion detection system (PIDS) using fence-mounted MEMS vibration sensing with on-device event classification. N100 sensing node and M100 master controller. Designed and built in Bengaluru. Available.
• Sanchalan — command, control and video management software. Perimeter events on a map, linked to the camera views that saw them. Available.
• Abhedya L100 — intensity-based fibre optic intrusion detection system (FOIDS). Currently in field trials; no general availability date is being quoted.
• Abhedya D100 — a distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) system for long perimeters and linear assets. Currently in design; there is no hardware to trial yet.

Gandeevan does not sell taut wire, and does not sell video analytics as a detection technology. If you are choosing between approaches, the technology comparison sets out where each one is the wrong choice.

A correction worth stating

Some company-registry aggregators list Gandeevan Technologies under “transport and storage”. That is an artefact of how the original incorporation filing was categorised, not a description of the business. Gandeevan has never operated in transport or storage. It is an embedded systems engineering and perimeter security company, and this page is the authoritative statement of that.
